Yarleen Santiago Pagán[1] (born January 18, 1978 in Trujillo Alto) is a female beach volleyball player from Puerto Rico who won the gold medal at the NORCECA Circuit 2009 at Montelimar, Nicaragua playing with Dariam Acevedo.[2][3]

At home, she was runner-up of the beach professional circuit Circuito de Voleibol Playero Profesional, playing with Sheila Conley.[4] In 2009, playing with Dariam Acevedo, she won the championship.[5]

College

She studied and played at University of Arkansas as outside hitter. There, she earned between 1997–1999, AVCA All District/All region, All Southestern Conference (SEC) Team[6] and SEC All-Tournament Team every year.[7] She also were dig leader among her team every season during 1997-1999.[8] She earned the Freshman of the year award in 1997.[9]

Indoor

She retired from the national team in 2007 after being representing her home country in many events.[10][11] At the 2006 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup, she won the Best Defense Award.[12]

She actually played professionally in 2009 with Gigantes de Carolina from Liga de Voleibol Superior Femenino.[13][14]
